It turns out Twitch Prime has been a good deal for pretty much everyone as data suggests viewership on the site has increased by 13% in the first 9 days of the programme.
The deal, announced at TwitchCon, provides Amazon Prime members with a Twitch Turbo-like ad-free experience on the streaming site as well as free games and a free subscription to one streaming partner every month.
That $5 subscription freebie has been very welcome for streamers, many of whom have reported sub rates skyrocketing in the opening days of the scheme.
However data from market research firm Superdata suggests users are also getting their monies worth with a 13% increase in viewership compared to baseline rates before the announcement.
In its first 9 days, Twitch Prime has boosted viewership. Let's see how long this lasts.

Whether or not that’s good news for Amazon, as some of that increase could be now ad-free users not seeing those sweet pre-roll commercials, is unknown. But if people are buying Prime memberships after these free trials end then that’s a net win.
