Steam is currentlly offering up Relic’s Warhammer 40K Dawn of War, Dawn of War 2, and all their expansion packs for free until Sunday 27th September at 9PM UK time. At the same time that’s going on, all that content currently has 75% off in the Steam store until Monday 28th September at 6PM UK time. What a time it is to have even a passing interest in Warhammer 40K and/or RTS games. These truly are the days of our lives.
And when I say “all their expansions,” I mean 20+ DLC packs and meatier expansion packs for both titles, usually priced at £99.99 for the lot but going for £24.99 until Monday. It’s probably a bigger deal from a collector’s point of view than in terms of gameplay, but a deal’s a deal.
There’s new content on offer, too. Dawn of War 1 gets a brand new multiplayer map calledThe Temple of Cyrene. Dawn of War 2 gets four Wargear sets (Vanguard, Sniper, Sternguard, and Destroyer) that were previously only available as pre-order DLC or aquired as super-rare loot drops.
