Here’s some new The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gameplay footage

The Witcher 3

Bobbing to the surface following last week’s E3 deluge, here’s a floating nugget of direct gameplay footage of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Taken from the game’s E3 demonstration and previously viewable only by the eyeballs of attendees, it shows Geralt traipsing around a musty swamp, firstly in search of a creature of some description and then soon following a strange cat-eyed child from tree to tree. There’s a sword fight, dismemberment and, perhaps most excitingly, a really nice looking puddle to splash in. Come look.

Isn’t Geralt nice, ducking into haunted forests to help godlings out by finding their lost voices? That probably counts as character development. More of The Witcher 3 was spotted earlier last week during an IGN preview, in which the game’s city hub was revealed in a five minute video presentation. Our hero is less savoury in this instance, swinging by a brothel and bothering some ladies.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — and all of its lovely puddles — is out on PC on February 24. That’s next year. Twenty-fifteen. Can you even imagine?
