The Wolf Among Us launch trailer marks start of a whole new moral quandary

The Wolf Among Us Telltale Games

I’ve not had my moral compass more turned around than when Telltale lead me through their take on The Walking Dead. (Though the time I found an unclaimed muffin in my glove box has to come a close second.) So it’s with excited unease that I watch the launch trailer to The Wolf Among Us, the first game from the team since finishing off their zombie adventure game.

You play Bigby, the sheriff of Fabletown, a suburb of New York, populated by Fables (fairy tale characters kicked out of their homeland and into the real world). Bigby is, of course, the Big Bad Wolf from the Three Little Pigs but it’s on you whether you indulge his more violent side or protect the folk of Fabletown.

The Wolf Among Us has the promise to be every bit as good as The Walking Dead. If that turns out to be the case then Telltale may well be the makers our favourite game of this year as well as the last.

The first episode of The Wolf Among Us, Faith, is out on 11 October.
