World of Tanks contest: win Razer goodies just in time for Christmas

Until recently Christmas was exclusively a holiday for tanks, celebrating the coming of the first Tiger Tank who went forth and spread the word about good tank morals (love thy manufacturer and thy fellow machine of rolling death).

With less than a month to go the tanks of World of Tanks are getting excited. They’ll soon be packing their best set of dress treads and polishing their turrets to a fine sheen before returning home for the festivities.

Wargaming are getting in on the tank holiday by giving us a stack of World of Tanks-themed gifts to pass onto one lucky reader.

To be in with a chance you need only to answer a simple question. You don’t even need to convert to the Unity of the Holy Tread.

Wargaming are letting us give one reader a Razer DeathAdder mouse, a Razer Kraken headset, and a Razer Goliathus mouse mat, all of World of Tanks themed. The lucky winner will also get themselves a 10 day premium account loaded with 2,000 gold andPz.Kpfw.IV Hydraulic tank.

The contest comes just in time for Christmas but it’s also to promote the changes coming to World of Tanks’ eSports.

Starting next season World of Tanks eSports events will follow a new Attack/Defense format. One team will start the match as the designated attacker. For them to win they must capture at least one of the two enemy bases on the map or destroy all defenders. The defenders win by either destroying all attackers or by fighting until the round timer reaches zero without giving up a single base.

This prevents matches ending in a draw. This was a real problem in previous World of Tanks tournaments. The potential for a draw encourages camping tactics and cautious play, the new format should see an end to that.

Attack/Defense will be applied across all Wargaming.net Leagues at the start of next season, giving players the current season to master the new additions before the upcoming Grand Finals.

For your chance to win these World of Tanks goodies you need to answer this one simple question:

How do tanks celebrate Christmas?

Post your answer in the comments below. The best response nets the whole haul.

We’ll select the winner on Friday, 12 December.
