World of Tanks looks to eSports with All Stars medal system

Comment

What sport needs more of is tanks fighting. Look then, to World of Tanks, who are starting to introduce tiers of medals into their ranking system in preparation for exclusive tournaments, and eventually crowning "the Wargaming.net EU 2012 champion."

A batch of tournaments including Mangled Metal, Fun Cups and Easy 8 will make up the All Star series. Medals can then be upgraded if teams win more than one tournament. There's also talk of "a series of exclusive contests, which only players who have recieved 1st, 2nd or 3rd place medals will be able to participate in."

All we need now is special decals to place on our tanks. And footballs on the battleground.
