The World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria release date has just been announced, along with the first details of the digital edition and collector's edition, and prices for all.

Mists of Pandaria will be available to all on September 25th 2012 (it's a Tuesday), available on PC and Mac. There are three editions.

The standard edition is available in stores for £29.99 in the UK. It will have no bonus content, other than the game itself.

A digital deluxe version is available directly from Blizzard for £39.99. That version includes a Imperial Quilen Flying Mount, a Lucky Quilen pet, new portraits for your Starcraft II profile, and a new banner ans sigil for your Diablo 3 character.

Finally, the collector's edition includes all the in-game content listed above, along with a Behind-the-Scenes DVD and Blu-Ray, a soundtrack CD, a hardcore art book and a mousepad. That'll be yours for £59.99.

Expect midnight openings across the world to play it.

And just remember. Pet battles are cool
