X-Plane 11’s first beta now available for download

X Plane 11

Dedicated X-Plane fans should crack out the aviator glasses and the several joysticks as the first X-Plane 11 beta is ready for take off. This new edition of the flight simulator offers an improved UI and higher fidelity plane models, making it perfect for would-be pilots looking to start their flying career, or veteran pilots looking for the most authentic simulation.

If you’re in the market for simulations, here’s a list of some of the PC’s best simulators.

The X-Plane developers are quick to point out that seeing as this is the first beta for this new installment, there will be bugs involving scenery and possible poor frame rates for those who play this early version of one of the best plane games. If are looking for the full X-Plane experience and are not interested in potentially crashing into bugged out air traffic control towers, possibly give the beta a miss at this time.

If you are already a dyed in the wool X-Plane fan or are really impressed with the demo, a special double pack is available which offers players instant access to X-Plane 11 on its release, future beta updates along with a copy of X-Plane 10, all for $59.99.

If you are at all interested, first check out the incredibly dramatic X-Plane 11 trailer above and then give the demo a try by downloading it from the X-Plane site.
