You can use an Xbox One to stream Xbox 360 games to a Windows 10 PC

At this year’s E3, Microsoft announced that backwards compatibility was coming to their flagship Xbox One game console. Now, Microsoft have confirmed that the very same feature will be coming to Windows 10 PCs, which will be able to stream eligible Xbox 360 games, directly from an Xbox One console.
Speaking to Engadget during a private Xbox One demo, Microsoft confirmed that Windows 10 users will be able to take advantage of the very same streaming service. In fact, if you’re a member of the Preview Program, you can start doing it today.
It sure will only really be used in very niche circumstances, but it’s a welcome option nonetheless.
If only we could stream them directly to a Windows 10 PC.

Why would you want to stream from a console to a PC? That makes no sense.
Why pay more money for a game with lesser graphical features and lower frame rates? Why have two devices powered on?
is still quite a few games that never come to PC so the console is the only option, as for why have 2 devices powered on, well it's easier than taking the full system to a different room when the main TV is being used for other things.
Halo, Destiny and EA sports?
I'll do this when they bring Red Dead Redemption to the BC list. Why that was never ported to PC I'll never know...
only reason is if it's a laptop/tablet and your outside the house or if you have a media PC that can't run games, after all that is the target audience of the steam streaming.
.
but it's like streaming the PC/PS4 to my tablet, the only time I'll ever do it is if I'm sitting out in the garden and want something to do.
.
ultimately it's just a move to keep with Sony since they already do PS4 streaming with their xperia line of devices. the difference being MS can bake it into windows and claim a wider support.
But it still makes no sense. Presumably one has their console hooked up to their big screen high definition television where they can play from the comfort of their couch. I mean isn't that one of the big selling points of consoles? Why would anybody ever want to play console games on their PC from a comparatively less comfortable office chair?
.
Valve at least has the right idea of streaming from a high powered gaming PC to a low-powered client so that you can play your PC games in your living room with the same comforts and accommodations as consoles.
what if you want to play one of the exclusives, while someone else in the house wants to use that TV to actually watch TV, then it gives you the ability to move to a different room.
.
as for the office chair comment, you seriously don't have your PC connected to a TV? there are that many outputs on a modern PC you will never be confined to an office chair. more so when you start throwing in wireless control.
This is what's known as a solution in search of a problem.
Completely useless.
But why
Red Dead Redemption!
