Mortal Kombat 11: Where to find the Krypt’s key items
NetherRealm’s gory labyrinth is stuffed with treasure chests to find and puzzles to solve. To reach some of the best loot, however, you’ll need some key items to get you there. Here’s where to find them, and what they do.
Shao Kahn’s Hammer
This one’s a doddle and is the most important. To get Shao Kahn’s Hammer, you need to watch The Krypt’s opening cutscene then wander through the set of doors in front of you and pick it up.
Shao Kahn’s Hammer will allow you to break down cracked walls. And gain access to new areas. It also doubles up as a brutal weapon, allowing you to take out the various enemies you come across.
Gem of the Living
Once you stumble upon The Shrine, you’ll trigger a cutscene that involves a meteorite falling from the sky. Walk on up to it and smash it with your hammer to get the Gem of the Living.
Head back to the Courtyard, and you’ll see a locked door to the left. Walk up to it and unlock it with the Gem of the Living to gain access to The Gardens.
Cracked Horn of Motaro
Once you’re in The Gardens, head over the bridge and destroy the wooden barricade. Head into the new room, pull the lever, and you’ll gain access to the room that the Cracked Horn of Motaro is in.
Once you have it, you can head back to the Meteorite crash site and open the large door that was in front of it. Doing so will grant you access to the Courtyard Cave.
After heading through the Courtyard Cave, you’ll eventually come to Goro’s Lair. Watch the cutscene, then take the right path and you’ll come to a prison where you’ll find Kenshi Takashi’s Blindfold on a skeleton.
This item lets you peer into another dimension at the expense of Soul Fragments. This enables you to see new hints and objects, like a breakable wall to your left that’ll let you escape this very room.
Head back to the main room in Goro’s Lair, and there should be a path behind his throne. Follow it, and you’ll come to a room that has Scorpion’s Spear inside of it.
As you journey through the Krypt, you’ll notice that several people are suspended in mid-air. Scorpion’s Spear lets you pull these sorry sacks of meat down to you for some Koins.
Ermac’s Amulet of Souls
Now we’re going to tackle the path that’s to the left of Goro’s Throne. This one requires you to pull some chains on the wall to proceed, but it’ll take you to Ermac’s Amulet of Souls.
This key item lets you spend 100 souls on green pots for more rewards, and repair objects like the broken bridge near the Forge.
The three items of the One Being
To get the Mind of the One Being, Soul of the One Being, and the Heart of the One Being, head into the Klassic Towers or Towers of Time and perform ten fatalities, ten brutalities, and ten mercies in Tower challenges.
Once you have all three items, you’ll be able to open the large door that’s at the start of Goro’s Lair. Part with 80,000 Koins to open the chest inside, and claim your reward.
