Ubisoft have clarified their clarified position and said that Assasin’s Creed: The Americas Collection is coming to PC but not in the US. There was some confusion after the bundle was announced on Monday because a later statement from Ubisoft said that it wasn’t coming to PC. We’ve spoken to Ubisoft and they’ve confirmed its PC release for us in the UK but not in the states.

The Americas Collection contains Assassin’s Creed III, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation HD.

The confusion came because while it was only announced for consoles in North America European press were sent a release that mentioned a PC version of the bundle. The American press questioned this and were told by their PR that it wasn’t coming to PC (because it isn’t in the US) but when they wrote news stories stating it wasn’t coming to PC, non-US news sites thought that meant globally… Yes, it’s all a bunch of round robin he said she saids.

Assasin’s Creed: The Americas Collection’s UK release date is 3 October. In the US it’s the 28 October. One last detail to further confuse everyone, the bundle will be called Assassin’s Creed Birth of a New World – The American Saga in the UK.

That’s hardly going to confuse anyone now, is it?
