Assassin’s Creed: Rogue sets sail on PC

Assassin's Creed: Rogue PC launch

Assassin’s Creed: Rogue is finally out on PC. The adventures of Assassin-turned-Templar, Shay Patrick Cormac arrived on last generation consoles around the time that Assassin’s Creed Unity launched, last year, so it’s been a bit of a wait for the Black Flag spin-off.

Rogue sticks to the high-sea adventuring of its predecessor, giving players an ocean to explore and ships to attack and plunder. A few twists build on Black Flag’s formula, including Assassin’s that board Shay’s ship to murder him, burning oil that can be used to set other ships on fire, and a new region to explore – the freezing North Atlantic.

The consensus last year seemed to be that it was a lot like Black Flag, but not as refreshing, since we’ve done it all before. The story’s a load of all rubbish, too, apparently. Still, after Unity I’m very keen to get back to sea.
