Assassin’s Creed is getting a TV show, probably on Netflix

Ass Creed Movie

Did you enjoy the Fassbender-starring Assassin’s Creed movie? You may be in luck, as there’s going to more live-action hoodie murderers bounding across rooftops in a new television show.

Out of our list of the best PC games, which would you like to see adapted?

The news comes via a Reddit AMA with Aymar Azaizia, head of content for Assassin’s Creed. During the AMA one poster asked if Azaizia was willing to share any details on the TV show project for the series.

“Nope,” he replied. “It’s like the movie guys, we will take our time, to get sure we deliver something we can be proud of, but if you wander if it’s on our plan… YES.”

So there’s definitely something coming, so long as they get through all the negotiations. Where would it air, though? I wouldn’t bet on the History Channel.

The safest bet would probably be Netflix. It was only in November when Ubisoft admitted being in talks with the streaming service to collaborate on a TV show based on one of the French publisher’s videogame franchises.

Assassin’s Creed is the most recognisable brand they have, so it’s bound to be that. I’d bet a shiny apple on it.
