Baldur’s Gate 3 system requirements want 150GB from your SSD

Meeting the Baldur's Gatr 3 system requirements should prove easy enough for many a gaming PC, providing you have enough space to install the RPG

The Baldur’s Gate 3 system requirements may change as the game goes through its Steam Early Access period, but the RPG doesn’t demand too powerful of a gaming PC right now. The likelihood is that you already have a rig ready to run the minimum specs, and pushing up to recommended shouldn’t be too difficult for most rigs.

Developer Larian suggests you won’t need the best graphics card to run Baldur’s Gate 3 comfortably, with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 280X being good enough to meet this particular skill check.

However, you’ll want to upgrade to a more modern pixel pusher if you fancy making use of the game’s AMD FSR or Nvidia DLSS upscaling technology. Both of these features can help dramatically boost fps without impacting visual quality much at all.

The greatest challenge most people should face in getting Baldur’s Gate 3 to run, is clearing up 150GB of storage to install it. Having the best SSD for gaming should alleviate this issue, and improve load times.

If you’re saddened at the prospect of not being able to run what could be one of the best RPG games, fret not. As noted on the Baldur’s Gate 3 Steam page, “requirements might decrease over the course of Early Access, as performance improves.”
