Batman: Arkham Knight Season of Infamy DLC swooping in tomorrow

Batman Season of Infamy

If you’re still feeling enthused by Batman: Arkham Knight, have a big gift in the form of the new Season of Infamy DLC, which launches December 22nd. Think of it as a medal for enduring the problems the game’s had. A medal you have to pay for, yes, but one all the same.

Love the sound of the DLC but need to know how Batman runs? Check out our Arkham Knight port review.

The DLC is detailed in Arkham Insider, a show presented by people pretending to be those YouTuber people the kids love so much. They shout and cheer as Batman does stuff, while the quintessentially British developers at Rocksteady modestly explain what they’ve made.

In this case, Rocksteady have made a DLC that introduces a new set of missions involving classic Batman villains Mad Hatter, Killer Croc, Mr. Freeze, and the League of Assassins. That’s actually a pretty big deal, and will hopefully prove a more engaging experience than the relatively dull missions in the Batgirl DLC.

The DLC also comes with a new skin for the Batmobile that reimagines it as the much sleeker, more Animated Series-like car from the Arkham Asylum game. You can also play as Christian Bale should you wish with the 2008 Batsuit from The Dark Knight, complete with a new bat chin that’s closer to Bale’s than the one traditionally used in the games. All in the details.
