Top Battlefield Redsec meta - best weapons for the battle royale

We have collected the current meta weapons in Battlefield Redsec, so you know what to pick the next time you collect your custom loadout.

BF Redsec meta: four soldiers on a boat open fire with their various weapons.

What are the Redsec meta weapons? Not all guns are created equal, and you'll soon realize that when you pick up an unfamiliar floor loot weapon and end up spraying your magazine halfway up a wall. Recognizing what to prioritize when searching for ground loot and knowing what to add to your custom loadout selection is vital if you want to find success in Fort Lyndon.

What makes the list of best BF6 guns doesn't necessarily translate over to the battle royale format - more open space and the inclusion of armor have made some of our go-to weapons nigh on unusable. Now that we've racked up plenty of wins in the newest game mode, we've compiled a list of the top five Redsec meta guns to outlast the competition.

Best Redsec weapons for the current meta

BF Redsec meta: an assault rifle with a curved magazine.

Kord 6P67

The Kord is arguably the best assault rifle available right now, with minimal recoil, impressive range, and a relatively fast fire rate. A weapon with few downsides, this one should always be a go-to when you hit up a custom weapon drop.

Here are the best Kord attachments:

  • Lightened Suppressor - Muzzle
  • 415mm Prototype - Barrel
  • Classic Vertical - Underbarrel
  • 30RND Fast Mag - Magazine
  • OSA-7 1.00x - Scope

The Lightened Suppressor keeps your shots off of the enemy minimap, which is vital if you don't want to draw too much of a crowd every time you fire. The 415mm Prototype barrel reduces recoil, the same as the Classic Vertical underbarrel attachment. The 30RND Fast Mag will keep you in the fight with quick reloads, and the OSA-7 1.00x scope gives you a clean sight picture.

BF Redsec meta: a large light machine gun with a drum magazine.

KTS100 MK8

LMGs have found a place high up in the Redsec pecking order, and for good reason. The KTS is arguably the most well-rounded of the lot, featuring high damage and little recoil. It uses a magazine rather than a belt-fed system, too, so reloading takes a fraction of the time.

Here are the best KTS100 MK8 attachments:

  • Lightened Suppressor - Muzzle
  • 508mm MK8 - Barrel
  • Slim Angled - Underbarrel
  • 60RND Magazine - Magazine
  • FMJ - Ammunition
  • SU-230 LPVO - Scope

Both the 508mm MK8 barrel and the Lightened Suppressor reduce recoil, giving the KTS unbelievable reliability in prolonged fights. The 60RND Magazine is fairly standard, but it being a drum mag means that reloads are much faster than its belt-fed counterparts.

BF Redsec meta: a compact smg with a small red dot sight.

PW5A3

While SMGs don't have the potency in Redsec as they do in multiplayer, it can still pay dividends to have one by your side for close-quarters combat. The PW5A3 is the perfect all-rounder thanks to its excellent hipfire and ADS accuracy.

Here are the best PW5A3 attachments:

  • Convertor - Muzzle
  • Basic - Barrel
  • Alloy Vertical - Underbarrel
  • OSA-7 1.00x - Scope
  • Synthetic - Ammunition
  • 30RND Fast Mag - Magazine

The 30RND Fast Mag will keep you in the fight for longer, with reloads taking a much shorter time than other magazine attachments. The Synthetic ammunition boosts headshot damage, which can come in clutch during fierce close-range fights.

BF Redsec meta: a sniper rifle with a long barrel.

M2010 ESR

There are a ton of open spaces in Fort Lyndon, and without a ranged option at your disposal, you're going to be caught short most of the time. The M2010 ESR is still the best sniper option, with its high bullet velocity and snappy handling.

Here are the best M2010 ESR attachments:

  • Lightened Suppressor - Muzzle
  • 26″ Carbon - Barrel
  • 5RND Magazine - Magazine
  • Match Grade - Ammunition
  • DLC Bolt - Ergonomics
  • SSDS 6.00x - Scope

The 26″ Carbon barrel and Match Grade ammunition maximize the M2010's bullet velocity, so hitting targets at a distance shouldn't be a problem. The DLC Bolt also enables you to rechamber your next bullet without taking your eyes off the prize.

BF Redsec meta: a large light marchine gun with a magnified scope.

M250

Another LMG, but in a different style. While the KTS opts for controllability over everything else, the M250 is for those who prefer raw damage. Our setup significantly reduces gun kick, although you'll still need to utilize the environment effectively to maximize the M250's potential.

Here are the best M250 attachments:

  • Lightened Suppressor - Muzzle
  • 556mm Prototype - Barrel
  • 6H64 Vertical - Underbarrel
  • 50RND Belt Pouch - Magazine
  • NGFC LPVO - Scope

The 6H64 Vertical and the 556mm Prototype attachments serve to reduce recoil, with the NGFC LPVO scope giving you the utility needed to take fights at any range.

Redsec meta: assault rifle on an orange background.

DRS-IAR

The DRS-IAR hits the perfect balance between LMG and assault rifle, with the range and power of the former, with the maneuverability of the latter.

Here are the best DRS-IAR attachments:

  • Convertor - Muzzle
  • 20″ SDM-R - Barrel
  • Stippled Stubby - Underbarrel
  • 40RND Fast Mag - Magazine
  • FMJ - Ammunition
  • Mini Flex 1.00x - Scope

The Convertor and 20″ SDM-R attachments serve to lock down any errant recoil, with the 40RND Fast Mag leaning further into the assault rifle-like attributes with a blistering reload speed, keeping you in the action for as long as you have ammo reserves.

Now you know which weapons to prioritize in Redsec, you'll know what to go for the next time you spy a custom weapon drop. See you on the battlefield, soldier.
