Between Me and the Night’s launch trailer shows TV spiders, shadow monsters and a descent into madness

Between Me and the Night

Between Me and the Night, a surreal adventure game filled with bizarre imagery, has just launched on Steam. It looks like a much stranger version of Kentucky Route Zero.

Kentucky Route Zero didn’t find its way onto PCGamesN’s list of the best indie games on PC. Will Between Me and the Night?

“Between Me and The Night is a surrealist action adventure game that walks the thin path between sanity and madness,” says the Steam description.

“Take on the role of a young boy and explore and interact with the mysterious house in which he lives. Solve puzzles around the house to reveal new places, help you overcome the shadows of the night and discover the strange world beyond [its] walls.”

The game has just left Early Access, and has enjoyed a positive reception on Steam reviews so far.

In a developer blog,RainDance LX CEO Joao Ortega talks about how the game was inspired by Twin Peaks, particularly The Black Lodge, an alternate dimension of red upholstery and garbled speech.

Between Me and the Night is available for purchase on Steam now, for the introductory price of £8.99.

Thanks, PCGamer.
