There must be a lot of grins round the Take-Two board room. Not only have they got Grand Theft Auto V due out later this year but they were able to tell investors yesterday that Bioshock Infinite has sold more than 4 million copies to date in North America alone, making it “North America’s best-selling multiplatform release so far this year”. As well as that, Grand Theft Auto IV has sold more than 25m copies.

“BioShock Infinite is North America’s best-selling multiplatform release so far this year, according to NPD,” Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick told investors in a financial call. “The title’s crossed the 4 million unit selling mark and we expect it to become the top-selling release in the BioShock franchise.”

On top of this he was able to say that Grand Theft Auto IV has sold more than 25 million copies. No doubt they have high hopes for the release of Grand Theft Auto V later this year. Now, if only they’d get around to announcing it for PC, we must continue to assume their PR company are all on holiday. Still.

Cheers, Eurogamer and Digital Spy.
