Let’s be, ah, blunt: Call of Duty is packaged and sold to an audience of young men free from responsibility – and that isn’t us according to our Call of Duty: Ghosts review – and isn’t afraid to be explicit about it.
Clearly, somebody at Infinity Ward has noticed a certain amount of demographic crossover with another product. They’ve capitalised on it with the new Blunt Force character pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts.
“Arm yourself with the Blunt Force Character Pack and enemies will experience chronic defeat at your hands,” blurb Infinity Ward. “The pack comes complete with a leafy uniform and 2 different headgear options.”
Just in case you were under the impression that the subject would be approached with any subtlety at all, here’s a picture of that headgear:
The Blunt gear comes in one of three new character packs sold for $1.99 on Xbox Live. Here’s everything that’s arrived in that same update:
Abstract Personalization Pack – $1.99
Hydra Personalization Pack – $1.99
Skulls Personalization Pack – $1.99
Tattoo Personalization Pack – $1.99
Leopard Personalization Pack – $1.99
Nebula Personalization Pack – $1.99
Inferno Character Pack – $1.99
Blunt Force Character Pack – $1.99
Bling Character Pack – $1.99
The Maverick – $3.99
The Ripper – $3.99
There’s no word on a PC release for the Blunt pack yet, but expect the usual month-long DLC delay. Ganja bear the wait?
