Black Ops 7 camos explained
Black Ops 7 camos allow you to customize your weapon's skin, changing its appearance to make your soldier stand out from the rest of the battlefield. There are several camos to unlock once you get your hands on a gun, but you'll need to put in the work if you want to earn the most striking skins in the FPS game.
That's where mastery camos come in: these weapon skins require you to go through a series of challenges that prove not only your dedication to your chosen gun but also your expertise with it. There are 16 mastery camos, four in each mode: campaign, zombies, multiplayer, and Warzone. The final mastery camo in all four game modes is reactive, changing the look of the weapon whenever you fire any bullets.
To track your progress when unlocking the mastery camos, you can pull up the pause screen in any of the modes to see how far you are into your mastery challenge. That also includes a dedicated camo tracker in the co-op campaign, a first for the series.
How to unlock Black Ops 7 mastery camos
Military camos
The grind to unlocking all the mastery camos begins with military camos, with each weapon locking skins behind challenges tied to specific game modes. Once you unlock a camo, it can be used across any of the game modes.

Special camos
You can only move onto the special camos once you've completed the military camos for your chosen game mode. For example, you can't unlock the special camos in Zombies if you've only completed the Multiplayer military challenges.
Special camos have three weapon-specific challenges that are tied to the playstyle of the gun. These challenges can be tackled in any order, and with some strategic planning, you should be able to make progress on all three challenges simultaneously.
Mastery camos
After you've unlocked both the military and special camos, you can now move on to the mastery camos. If this is your first time attempting to earn the mastery camos, then you know what's coming. For everyone else, if you thought the journey so far was bad, you truly haven't seen anything yet.
As you progress through the mastery camo tiers, the requirements become much more difficult, both in terms of the time to unlock them and the challenge itself.

- Unlock all Co-op Campaign Special Camos on your chosen weapon.
- Eliminate 20 Special enemies with your chosen weapon.

- In Endgame: eliminate 100 Zone III or Zone IV enemies with your chosen weapon.
