How do you complete the BO7 Tank Dempsey easter egg? Easter eggs remain one of the most exciting parts of Treyarch Zombies, and this small side quest is just one of a few discovered in BO7 so far.
Finding and completing this relatively simple Black Ops 7 easter egg is all you need to unlock one of the hidden BO7 Dark Ops challenges. Whether you're completing the Ashes of the Damned main quest or just dropping in to complete the challenge on its own, it's definitely worth doing. There's just one main prerequisite, which we've explained below.
BO7 Zombies Dempsey easter egg
To trigger the Ashes of the Damned Dempsey easter egg, you must play as Tank Dempsey, or you won't be able to interact with the special item.
When playing as Tank Dempsey, head to the Crashed Rocket site near Zarya Cosmodrome and Ashwood. Along the western edge, between two large components of the crashed rocket, you'll see two corpses. Lying in the snow to the northwest of the bodies is where you'll find a set of dog tags you can interact with, triggering the easter egg.
An important detail here is that, since the dog tags are lying on a road between two main POIs, you're in a dangerous area. Keeping one zombie alive won't help, as special zombies automatically and constantly spawn in these areas, so make sure you've got some backup if you're playing with friends. If you're playing solo, make use of field upgrades and equipment to keep you safe. Kazimir Grenades, Decoys, Monkey Bombs, Point Turrets, Energy Mines, or even Aether Shroud are all suitable options.
How to complete the Dempsey side quest
Be sure to bring a strong weapon when you enter the easter egg, as you can die if you're not careful. If you die, your Zombies match ends, whereas if you simply time out, you can try again in a future round. During the side quest, you also have no access to throwables or field upgrades, and your held weapons are all you have.
To complete the easter egg, locate and follow a black wisp through three areas. Each one triggers a wave of armored zombies and Ravagers, simply kill them all to move on to the next one. The easter egg ends after surviving the final round in the ruins, where you temporarily get to play as an Elder Disciple for the final moments, rewarding you with a Dark Ops challenge calling card and an achievement.
