Follow these steps in Black Ops 7 Zombies to unlock a permanent Perk-A-Cola or two, meaning they won’t go anywhere when you’re downed.

How do you unlock Black Ops 7 perma perks? As ever, this year's Zombies features a bunch of easter eggs to uncover. The main quests are no longer much of a secret, and are a bigger undertaking than back in the day, but there are still plenty of smaller, sneakier easter eggs to hunt down.

Among the ones we've found so far in the Black Ops 7 Ashes of the Damned Zombies map is the ability to unlock permanent perks. Returning from BO2, these perma-perks no longer stay in place for the game's lifetime; after all, that was a bit OP, but they're instead guaranteed for the duration of the match, no matter how many times you're downed - or even die. So, if you're trying to complete the Ashes of the Damned main quest, this little BO7 perma-perk easter egg could improve your chances.

How to get BO7 perma perks

To unlock perma-perks in Black Ops 7 Zombies, you must first have every Perk-A-Cola equipped. The best way to do this is by using a Perkaholic Gobblegum, but you can also buy them all on the map. Then, you need to complete a T.E.D.D Task.

To buy every perk, you'll need a considerable amount of money, so you could use the new Gift Card Gobblegum. However you obtain the perks, you'll need all 12 before taking on a T.E.D.D task, which seem to start anywhere from Round 7 - that's the earliest we've seen, anyway.

By completing a T.E.D.D Task and meeting Legendary requirements, you have a chance to earn at least one permanent perk in your reward box. If you don't have every perk already equipped, you'll instead get any of the normal perks you're missing, hence why you need all perks equipped for this to work.

You can keep completing T.E.D.D Tasks until you've unlocked all 12 permanent perks, though of course this could take some time. You'll also have to progress through a considerable number of Rounds, so maybe wait until you've done most of the main quest requirements first.

Now you can start unlocking BO7 permanent perks, giving you a much better chance of surviving the big boss at the end of the main quest. That alone won't keep you alive, though, so make sure you've also got those Perks kitted out with the best BO7 Augments and equip one of the most powerful BO7 weapons, or even Wonder Weapons, before hitting that PaP Machine.
