Treyarch have begun sending out closed alpha invites for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 modding tools, so you might want to check your inbox if you're on the list.
Could modding tools push Black Ops 3 forward so much it ends up on our list of PC's best FPS games?
The Black Ops developers have been busy testing and iterating on the tools, and they're finally ready to see some limited public testing from a few select, skilled participants.
We’re happy to share that our Closed Alpha has begun for our PC Mod Tools! More info here: https://t.co/K71ZTROtYs— Treyarch Studios (@Treyarch) April 20, 2016
"We’re excited to have reached this milestone and to be able to provide the participants of our closed alpha this version of the modding tools to help us test them and lay the foundation for an open beta," says the official Treyarch post.
"Once we are able to analyse the results of the closed alpha, it’s our intention to kick off the subsequent open beta stage of testing in the following months."
We'll hopefully begin to see the early results of the closed alpha over the coming weeks, so hopefully we'll get a taste of the kind of things the modding community might come up with when they're in the wild.
Keep an eye on the Treyarch blog for more details.
