How to unlock Nikto and Mara in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

We’ve seen plenty of the two new Modern Warfare Operators, but how do you add them to your collection?

Nikto and Mara in Modern Warfare

How do you unlock Nikto and Mara in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare? The launch of Call of Duty’s first season of content hasn’t exactly rolled out in the clearest and most concise fashion, with plenty of players unsure of what changes have occurred and even how to get the battle pass.

Among some of the most exciting additions – the Holger-26 and Ram-7 spring to mind – are two new Modern Warfare Operators: Nikto and Mara. Previous Operators have been accessible through completing in-game challenges across single-player and multiplayer, or through pre-order bonuses, but it’s a different story with Mara and Nikto.

There are plenty of other goodies hiding away in the latest patch, including the return of the iconic Crash multiplayer map from the original COD, plus several new Spec-Ops missions and plenty of bug fixes. But you’re not here for any of that, you’re looking to complete your Modern Warfare classes with some slick new looks courtesy of Mara and Nikto – here’s how to get them.

How to unlock Mara in Modern Warfare

To unlock Mara in Modern Warfare you need to purchase the season one battle pass for 1,000 COD Points. Doing this is a tad obtuse: you need to first purchase the COD Points from the store tab, and then head back to battle pass tab, purchase the pass, and you should instantly unlock the Mara Modern Warfare skin.

Where is Nikto?

The other prominent Operator who shows up in the battle pass trailer is Nikto, the masked mercenary. However, while you can spot this mysterious figure in the Allegiance section of the Operator select screen, there doesn’t appear to be any way to actually unlock him at the time of writing. According to the description, you can buy Modern Warfare Nikto from the store, but he’s not there.

Our best guess is that Nikto will appear in the store at some point over the course of season one. This is confirmed by an Activision blog post, which says “Be on the lookout for a multitude of bundles for sale in the Store throughout Season One. These bundles will include the other new Operator Nikto”.

There’s no word on how much Nikto will cost, but one Operator bundle in the store, The Huntsman bundle, is 1,800 COD Points, so don’t expect Nikto to be cheap.
