Call of Duty: Warzone, the standalone Call of Duty: Modern Warfare spin-off, recently got a four-player Quads mode, replacing the default Trios option that featured at launch. The mode was recently leaked in datamines, along with the possibility of a two-player Duos alternative – and now it looks like that option is indeed on the way, based on the battle royale game’s official site.
That’s according to a screenshot of the Warzone website posted on the FPS game’s subreddit by user Polack19, which seemingly introduces ‘new modes’ on the new Season 3 landing page. In the image, which you can see for yourself below, ‘Duos’ is featured with an in-game shot of two player characters battling side-by-side, alongside the now-live Quads mode. The page is not currently available on the website, however.
While it’s not yet confirmed, this does indicate that the Duos mode hinted at by the earlier datamines is on the way to the game at some point, probably during the just-launched Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 3.
We’ve reached out to publisher Activision for comment and will update this story with any new information.
Call Of Duty Website had duos listed briefly as a new mode, taken down shortly after from CODWarzone
As you can see in the image above, it looks like there will be more modes headed to Warzone in the near future, too, with the page reading: “And more throughout the season”. Hmm.
