Carmageddon: Max Damage is coming to PC and it’s free for Reincarnation owners

Carmageddon Max Damage

Carmageddon: Max Damage is due for release mid 2016 and it’s going to be completely free for Reincarnation owners.

If you’re wondering what else is on the horizon, check out our list of upcoming PC games.

“Today we announced the news that Carmageddon: Max Damage will be released on consoles in mid 2016,” said the devlopers in a post to the Steam community. “We hope you’re as excited as us at the prospect of Carmageddon reaching a wider audience through console.

“But don’t worry – we haven’t forgotten about your support – and because we value your continued loyalty so much, when Carmageddon: Max Damage is released on PC you will automatically receive a copy. Yes, that’s another Carmageddon in your Steam library – for free! We hope you will enjoy this new level of carnage, and thanks again for your continued support.”

Driving 30 cars across 10 environments, you’ll be doing the usual Carmageddon stuff: using powerups, driving really fast and running over wheelchair-bound pedestrians, people in mobility scooters, cyclists and… erm, bears and aliens.

Running everything over and getting points for doing so leaves no room for discrimination. In fact, it’s a career, as evident by the game’s career mode featuring six different event types. There will also be a multiplayer mode that hosts four different online events.

Max Damage’s predecessor, Reincarnation, was the result of a successful Kickstarter and left Early Access in May 2015. See the announcement trailer below:
