Konami have gone about the release of Castlevania: Lords of the Shadow in all the right ways (except releasing it at the same time as on console). We’re getting a buffed and toned version which has extra game chapters, Steam integration, and a higher resolution, higher FPS edition.
That’s not all, though. We’re also getting that rarest of things: a demo.
Announced through the game’s Facebook page, developer MercurySteam said yesterday that “The demo for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow for the PC will be available on Steam starting tomorrow!” Which, if we do the maths, means it should be appearing Castlevania’s Steam page later today.
It’s been ages since we’ve seen the release of a Castlevania series on PC and Lords of Shadow got some ace reviews on console. It should be right up your street if you were a fan of the Darksiders games, which were themselves massively influenced by the early Castlevania games.
