Cities: Skylines goes free-to-play for the weekend alongside Sunset Harbor’s launch

There's a load of city-building in your future

If you’re looking at another weekend indoors, Colossal Order and Paradox have a big weekend ahead for Cities: Skylines enthusiasts new and old. Not only has the Sunset Harbor release date landed today, the base game is free-to-play for the weekend, and a host of additional content is now on a steep discount for the next few days.

You can download and play Cities: Skylines via Steam right now, and enjoy as much as you can manage for the next three days. If you like what you play, you can grab the base game at a whopping 80% discount, which brings the price down to $5.99 / £4.59 / €5.59. You can also get substantial savings on all previous DLC, if you need to fill out your collection.

If you’re interested in new stuff, Sunset Harbor brings a varied selection of transportation upgrades and aquatic endeavours to your city. Another two DLC packages have launched alongside the expansion – a Modern Japan content creator pack highlights 20 new buildings from modder Ryuichi Kaminogi, while the Coast to Coast radio option adds some new tunes to enjoy.

Whether you’re looking for more free PC games, more management games, or more sandbox games, we’ve got you covered with our usual lists of stuff to enjoy.

Can you run it? Check your PC against the Cities: Skylines system requirements.
