The original Dead Island trailer taught us – as if we didn’t already know – that trailers aren’t generally all that representative of the game they supposedly represent. Dead Island 2’s, on the other hand, seemed to revel in the series’ silly, gory proclivities.
Deep Silver and Yager have released another trailer, this time with in-game footage, and yep, it’s consistent. Lots of rotting flesh, sunny streets and blood. So much blood. It looks like a hoot.
Chopping off limbs, cooking zombies in explosions, weapons with special, elemental damage properties – it’s all there, just as it was the last time around.
So we know all the good stuff is coming back, but what about new things? Looks like we might have to wait for Gamescom to find out more.
