How to increase your inventory size in Crimson Desert

There is so much to pick up in Crimson Desert, but not a lot of initial inventory space, so here’s how to increase your backpack size.

How do you get a bigger inventory in Crimson Desert? It won't be long into your Crimson Desert playthrough before you try to pick something up and are hit with the message that your inventory is full. Throwing away trinkets is never pleasant, especially if you aren't quite sure what's going to be useful down the line.

The best way to ensure you don't miss out on anything valuable is to increase your inventory size. There are a few ways to do this, and you can get to it as soon as you start playing, which you might want to do, so when you run into places like Glenbright Manor, you won't miss out on all of the treasures inside. Here is how to increase your Crimson Desert inventory size.

How to increase Crimson Desert inventory

There are two main ways in which you can increase your backpack size in Crimson Desert:

  • Complete tasks for townsfolk
  • Purchase bags from vendors

Helping out the townsfolk does more than earn you goodwill, as it will also increase your inventory by a couple of slots each time. This could be anything from sweeping a chimney to collecting timber - these are the smaller, more coincidental missions that you pick up in town.

The second method is arguably the easiest of the lot, and that is to simply purchase bags from vendors across the land. Most vendors will carry a small bag for purchase, so explore, unlock those fast travel points, and get yourself a bigger backpack in the process.

A bigger inventory means more room for plunder, so get out there and start collecting. You'll need as much food as you can carry for fights like the Reed Devil and Tenebrum, and when you venture into enemy territory, collecting their dropped weapons is a great way to bolster your supplies at camp.
