Cyberpunk 2077 rating leaks, details “sexual pleasurement”

"You surprised? We don’t f*** around"

Cyberpunk 2077

The first rating for Cyberpunk 2077 has leaked, and you know what this means – it’s time to giggle at extremely clinical descriptions of adult content. We all expected that CD Projekt Red’s next game would get mature ratings, and the studio itself has responded to the leak with a knowing question: “you surprised?”

Brazil’s classification board briefly published the 18+ Cyberpunk 2077 rating to its website last week, complete with a breakdown of the game’s content descriptors. While that page is now gone, user JordhanMK captured an image of it on Reddit, alongside a rough translation of what brought on the rating – in short, a lot of sex, drugs, and violence.

The objectionable content – again, via translation – includes “intense sexual relation”, “nudity”, “prostitution”, “sexualization”, “sexual language”. “Sexual pleasurement”, and an “intense sexual relationship”, the severity of which “was aggravated by scene composition”. And that’s just the fun stuff – we’ve also got “suicide”, “cruelty”, “intentional death”, and, er, “exposure to death corpse”. (Yes, something’s definitely getting lost in translation here.)

As for the 18+ rating, CP2077 lead quest designer Pawel Sasko says on Twitter, “You surprised? We don’t fuck around.”

Studio head Adam Badowski revealed back on April 9 that Cyberpunk 2077 “has already been rated by the vast majority of rating boards around the world”, but Brazil’s rating appears to have been the first to be published – intentionally or not.

We’ve got more cyberpunk games and RPG games for you to check out while marking the days toward the Cyberpunk 2077 release date – just a few months more to go, now.
