Darksiders 2: Deathfinitive Edition is coming to PC “some time after its console release”

Death comes to us all, but apparently it comes to console gamers first. Darksiders 2’s remaster will be coming to PC, but at an unspecified time after the console release. Like death itself, it’s looming over us, waiting to steal us from our existence.

The news of the game’s PC release comes in a response to a fan on Gunfire Games’ Twitter account:

There isn’t any information on pricing or anything yet, but it would be nice to see it go down the same route as Risen 3 did recently when it provided afree visual upgrade for existing Risen 3: Titan Lords owners. It would be lovely, but it’s probably not likely. Death always comes with a price.

I played Darksiders 2 when it first released, and I quite enjoyed it right up until my progress was halted by an early quest-breaking bug. I wouldn’t mind giving it another go if this version irons out the kinks.

What I played felt like it combined some of the best bits from character action games and dungeon crawlers, delivering swift combat, an intimate camera and piles of loot.

Darksiders 2: Deathfinitive Edition is out for console on October 27. Have you played the original? Let us know what you thought in the comments.
