Deadpool is back on Steam

Deadpool

At the close of 2013, all of Activision’s Marvel games were pulled from digital platforms due to an expiring contract. Among them was the recently released Deadpool.

Without warning though, Deadpool has quietly resurfaced on Steam, and is once more available to buy.

The merc-with-a-mouth’s game can be picked up for £29.99 / $39.99 at Steam, and DLC is available too. It came with no fanfare, so we can’t say what’s changed. However, considering Deadpool is the only Activision Marvel game to have regained a place on Steam, this could well be something to do with building anticipation for the upcoming Deadpool film, which will release in 2016.

Still missing in the Activision Marvel range is Spider-Man: Friend or Foe, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, X-Men: The Official Game, X-Men Destiny, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
