The Destiny 2 beta only went live on PS4 today, but not everyone wanted to wait until now to check it out, who cares about the rules? One eager player doesn’t, as they spent their weekend unsuccessfully trying to log in, despite the servers not being live.
Why not log in to our list of new MMOs? Go on.
As everyone knows, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results means you’re a bonafide badass. I mean, it’s probably good practise for playing a game about shooting and looting, to be honest.
The player in question actually spent the whole of Saturday and Sunday trying to log in. They attempted it 500 times, in fact. Destiny 2’s director, Luke Smith, tweeted about it:
To the individual who tried to log in to the beta over 500 times this weekend, the wait is almost over.

I actually love this person. They’re essentially the dude who camps outside a shop to get an iPhone five minutes earlier than someone else. I like to imagine they’re actually a PC player and they’re still frantically trying to get in right now, like a one-man DDoS attack.
The Destiny 2 beta is live now on PS4, but it’s coming late August for us. How many times have you tried to log in?
