Warmind, the second expansion for Destiny 2, launches tomorrow. Today we get to potentially build our excitement levels with the launch trailer, which you can watch above.
Here’s what we hope the Warmind expansion fixes in Destiny 2.
There aren’t a ton of surprises here, it’s a lot of footage of Destiny 2’s new Escalation Protocol – a horde mode-like type of public event where you’ll fight off increasingly tough waves of enemies. We get a couple glimpses of the massive superweapon hidden on Mars, which presumably will be the focus of the expansion’s missions. And there’s a little footage of the new Raid Lair, the Spire of Stars.
The trailer highlights some of the new gear that’s coming with the expansion, like the Worldline Zero exotic sword, the Polaris Lance exotic scout rifle, and The Huckleberry, an exotic submachine gun.
We also get to see the “new” enemies, the Frozen Locust, in action, as well as what look like some large new mini boss creatures.
Warmind launches tomorrow, and you’ll be able to start playing sometime around 0900 in the US’ Eastern time zone, and around 1400 in the UK.
