You can get Destiny 2 and all its expansions for $30 right now

With Forsaken on discount and the base game free, right now you can get all the Destiny 2 there is for one low price.

Destiny 2 exotics

Destiny 2’s latest major expansion, Forsaken, is currently on sale for $29.99, and combined with Activision-Blizzard’s currently-running free giveaway of the base game, that means that 25% discounted price will net you everything that’s come out for the game so far.

Forsaken adds tons of content to Destiny 2, and the package now includes both the Warmind and Curse of Osiris DLC packs that launched during the game’s first year. And since the vanilla Destiny 2 is free until November 18, the Forsaken sale price is all you have to pay to get completely caught up with the game. That’s not bad if you’ve been holding off on jumping into Bungie’s massive sci-fi multiplayer shooter.

It may be a bit annoying, though, if you’ve been buying releases as they’ve come out. At launch, Destiny 2 listed for $59.99. The first DLC, Curse of Osiris, originally listed for $16.99, and Warmind launched at $19.99. When Forsaken launched in September, the expansion on its own went for $39.99 (Activision eventually bundled both previously-released DLCs with Forsaken, but not right at launch).

That means early-adopting players may have spent nearly $137 USD just two months ago if they’ve kept up to date with Destiny 2, making this free game/discounted DLC combo a massive bargain. And while it may rankle fans who’ve bought in on launch day, the move makes sense: while Forsaken was well-received by critics (including our own Rich, who called it “Destiny’s highest form so far”) and by players, the expansion has underperformed Activision-Blizzard’s sales goals.

And, fair enough – until now, the price tag on the complete Destiny 2 package was a substantial barrier to entry. Players who bought the base game late would have been watching fellow players running around at higher power levels than they’d ever be able to reach without buying DLC. The currently-running sale may help encourage more players to explore Destiny 2’s follow-on content, and we’ve got to admit, it’s a pretty sweet offer.

If you’ve got a Battle.net account, you can activate Destiny 2 for free right now. Then, if you’d like to pick up Forsaken, just head over to the official Destiny site.

It’s also worth noting that the Forsaken + Annual Pass bundle is also on sale, and you can pick that up for $52.49. That’ll get you everything that’s come out so far, plus three planned premium expansions that will launch between now and next summer.
