Detroit: Become Human system requirements change ahead of this week’s PC release

Detroit: Become Human is coming to PC via the Epic Games Store, and here's the type of PC you'll need to run it

December 10, 2019 Detroit: Become Human system requirements have gotten a last minute update.

The wait for Detroit: Become Human on PC is almost over, but if you spied the system requirements that were released earlier this year, you’ll need to adjust your expectations – the specs have changed. Now that we’re just days away from the Detroit: Become Human PC release date, Quantic Dream has provided an updated specification list.

The minimum requirements include an i7 3770 or FX-8350 oaured with 8GB of RAM and a GTX 780 or Radeon HD 7950. For reference, that’s up from the earlier minimum spec of an i5-2400, 4GB RAM, and a GTX 660 or equivalent with 2 gigabytes of VRAM. Yes, that’s a massive increase in CPU requirements – to the point at which I suspect the CPUs for the recommended and minimum specs have been swapped.

The devs recommend an i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 1600 alongside 16GB RAM and a GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580. That’s changed from the old recommendation of an i7-2700K or equivalent processor, 12GB of memory, and an NVIDIA GTX 1080 or equivalent with 8 gigabytes of VRAM.
