Deus Ex: Mankind Divided announced with a glossy trailer

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided announcement trailer

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – that’s what Square Enix was teasing with its weird prisoner video on Twitch. We already knew that, though, when it was leaked yesterday. But now Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have officially announced it, a sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Point your eyes towards the glossy trailer below.

Mankind Divided takes place just after the shifty Illuminati made augmented humans lose control of their bodies and minds, an event that led to millions of deaths. Now augmented humans are shunned and ostracised. And of course there’s a sinister plot to control the world.

Into this mess walks Adam Jensen, smoking, looking irritatingly cool.

Expect new augmentations for Jensen and more open ended stealth and murder. Game Informer has teased some of the aforementioned augmentations listed in its May issue, including remote hacking, ranged nanoblade attacks and an indestructible nanoshield.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided doesn’t have a release date yet.
