Eidos Montreal show off more Deus Ex: Mankind Divided footage and Dawn Engine clips

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Eidos Montreal’s Jean-Francois Dugas and Jonathan Jacques-Belletete popped into the PC Gaming Show last night to show off some new footage from Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, along with some clips that show off the Dawn Engine and fancy PC bells and whistles. The video appeared this evening, so take a gander below.

The after shots show the sometimes dramatic changes that things like post-processing, colour correction, global illumination and parallax occlusion mapping bring to the scenes.

The density of objects, the clutter, in the market scene in particular was touched on as well.

“That’s exactly what the game is about, in a way: clutter,” said Jacques-Belletete. “I think Human Revolution was, for its time, probably the most cluttered game ever at that point, and the game is about details, there’s so much visual layering and now with the Dawn Engine and DirectX 12, we can push it so much higher than what we did before.”

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is due out early next year.
