Diablo 3 1.03a patch fixes zombies bears; reduces durability loss on equipped items

butcher_barb_rd2_024_1

Witch Doctors who eagerly waited for the 1.03 Diablo 3 patch hit upon a awkward problem: they quickly discovered that their zombie bears were now unable to attack monsters on a slope. How this happened is a bit of mystery. Bears have necks, and there’s no reason to believe that zombie bears lose the use of their necks. Luckily, the issue has been fixed, and zombie bears are now able to look up. Blizzard have also reduced the normal durability wear and tear on equipped items – although they warn “durability loss as the result of normal combat is different from the 10% durability loss characters will incur when they die.”

Here are the full patch notes.

Items
General
Equipped items will now take “wear-and-tear” durability damage at half the previous ratePlease note that durability loss as the result of normal combat is different from the 10% durability loss characters will incur when they die. Equipped items have always suffered durability loss while fighting, and we are simply slowing the rate at which the loss occurs.
