Divinity: Original Sin 2

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is out on Steam Early Access now, so you can play the entire first act of Larian’s big RPG sequel, this time with four-player co-op and a bunch of other new features.

If games are all about story and tactical combat for you, check our list of the best RPGs.

Built in the next-gen Divinity Engine, this RPG sequel bumps up the player count, letting you quest together with three buddies in cooperative and competitive dungeons. New combat mechanics aim to deepen these bonds, allowing for more elemental interactions, with your spells – made up from eight magic schools – complementing each other during busy battles.

Inspired by tabletop gaming, you’ll be able to decide who your character is, from race to attributes, even shaping their origin story as you see fit.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 on Steam Early Access includes Act One of the campaign, with around 8-12 hours of play. You’ll be able to blast through as a Human, Elf, Dwarf, and Lizard, with your pals. There are also four optional origin stories, each with unique quests and interactions tied to them. When you’re done with that, there’s a PvP Arena mode for when your friends do your head in.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is available now on PC via Steam Early Access for $44.99, and will also be coming soon to the GOG.com Games in Development program.
