The 18th annual DICE Awards have just awarded their awards to a bunch of deserving awardees.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor scooped up no fewer than eight gongs, claiming wins in animation, technical achievement and game design, but it was Dragon Age: Inquisition that strolled away with DICE’s Game of the Year award, prompting gasps from stunned attendees who literally couldn’t even.
Dragon: Age Inquisition also took another award in the oddly defined “Roleplaying / Massively Multiplayer Game of the Year” category on the night. Meanwhile, Hearthstone took a couple of awards in the strategy and mobile game categories.
Here’s a complete list of the winners. You can see why the lovely chaps at BioWare may have been a little surprised to walk out with DICE’s most prestigious award, having watched the Shadow of Mordor devs run laps of the conference hall.
