EA Sports FC 26 system requirements

Another year, another stagnant set of minimum and recommended specs from EA for its soccer franchise, with no changes made to PC demands.

As we could have predicted, the EA Sports FC 26 system requirements are a carbon copy of last year's game. Sports games rarely make big engine or graphics changes year-on-year, which is why the demands don't often change.

While it's clear that you won't need a mega-powered gaming PC with the best graphics card to get the best out of EA Sports FC 26, one key piece of hardware you will need is one of the best PC controller picks from our extensive buying guide. We have plenty of options reviewed covering a range of styles and budgets, so be sure to pick one up lest you experience the pain of controlling a soccer game with your mouse and keyboard.

Here are the EA Sports FC 26 system requirements on PC:

The EA Sports FC 26 minimum requirements, as we've already alluded to, haven't changed since last year's release. You'll still need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 570 graphics card alongside an Intel Core i5 6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU. The RAM requirement is also 8GB, meaning any gaming PC or laptop from the last few years should beat out these almost decade-old specs.

When it comes to the EA Sports FC 26 system requirements, there isn't a whole lot to worry about, with the hardware in question being a little more modern, but still over five years old. You'll need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 paired with an Intel Core i7 6700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X. The RAM requirement jumps up to 12GB, but given that 16GB is the current standard, this shouldn't cause too many headaches.

As for the EA Sports FC download size, this is again listed as 100GB, but with FC 25, the actual file size was closer to 50GB. This could be the same story again this year, but we won't know until the game is available to download.

While there are no SSD requirements listed, we strongly recommend using one of the best SSD picks from our buying guide; otherwise, you could run into some loading time issues when trying to get into games and even loading the various game modes.

There are two ways to look at this consistency with the EA Sports FC system requirements. Either the developers see PC as an afterthought and just keep the system requirements at the same level, adjusting later down the line if needed, or the game is simply so easy to run that a year-on-year assessment of the PC requirements tends to yield little need for change.

Of course, in the EA Sports FC 26 reveal trailer, there was no obvious indication that a new game engine was being used, instead leaving us to believe that, while gameplay tweaks are coming, the engine itself is largely the same, which would explain the lack of change in PC demands.
