The Elder Scrolls Online is out now; here’s our Elder Scrolls Online review.

No dates, no details, no nothing but a big turquoise button on a web page. Click that button, though, and there’s a chance you’ll be among the first to wander a unified Tamriel.*

Oh, no, hang on. There’s a trailer! Edit: Oh, no, hang on. It’s disappeared from Bethesda’s channel. How odd.

“We’re really excited to get the game into players’ hands,” said game director Matt Firor, without really saying anything at all. “We receive invaluable feedback through the beta process, and that helps us ensure that the game will be one of the best online gaming experiences ever offered — one worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise.”

It’s a real beta then, with bugs and everything. Which corner of this map will you be headed to first?

*Since Arena, of course. Good luck getting that bugger to run on a contemporary PC.
