The Elder Scrolls: Online closed beta expands with new round of invites

The Elder Scrolls Online PvP is set in Cyrodiil.

“We’re greeting the new year with a round of beta invites,” write Zenimax Online. “Check your registered email address to find out if you received one, and don’t forget to look in your spam folder just in case. Remember, if you use Gmail, our invites will be automatically filtered to the “promotions” tab.”

“The beta is getting bigger as launch approaches, and we can’t wait to see everyone’s feedback. If you don’t receive your invite today, don’t worry—you’ll have more chances to explore Tamriel before launch.”

With the Elder Scrolls Online due for release on PC and Mac on 4 April we’re going to see a lot more players invited in the coming months, simply as a means to advertise the game, let alone test their servers.

There’s still been no talk of an open beta so, this close to launch, it looks like it may be closed beta all the way.

Tim was impressed with the game when he played it way back in March though we’ve not been back to play it since.
