Frontier Developments, the makers of Elite Dangerous and Planet Coaster, have announced that on October 7 they’ll be running their largest fan event yet: Frontier Expo 2017.

As well as announcements and talks for Elite Dangerous and Planet Coaster, Frontier also say there will be “an exclusive in-depth look at Frontier’s as-yet unannounced third title.”

If you’ve been playing a lot of Elite Dangerous, check out our list of the best space games on PC.

“Frontier Expo is all about Frontier’s incredible community,” Frontier’s CEO, David Braben, says in the press release. “Our journey into the world of self-publishing wouldn’t have been possible without the terrific communities that have assembled around Elite Dangerous and Planet Coaster. We’ve held community events before but we’ve never had the opportunity to celebrate our current games with the players and look to the studio’s future all at one event. We can’t wait to meet everyone this October.”

As well as talks about Frontier’s games from developers, there will be a string of talks from scientists and experts that delve into aspects of the studio’s games. While there are obvious links to astronomers with Elite Dangerous, I hope there is someone there to talk about the social engineering of Theme Park design.

The one-day event will be held at the Olympic Park in London, but it will also be livestreamed so you should be able to catch up on the action even if you aren’t able to attend in person.
