Elite: Dangerous’ beta 3 update went live last night, cramming in more fixes, tweaks and new features than an impatient person could count.
For those of you yet to launch into space and who haven’t trawled through the cosmically large patch notes, Frontier has put together a trailer with the highlights.
The flashy stuff is the two new ships, the Imperial Clipper and Federal Dropship, the noble profession of asteroid mining with lasers, scooping out fuel from suns and ripping other players out of supercruise with interdiction – particularly handy for bounty hunters.
The galaxy has expanded, too, with the update giving explorers a whopping 2,400 systems to explore.
