Carlsberg have made Fallout Beer for some reason

Fallout Beer

When you think of a Fallout beverage, chances are you’re thinking of Nuka Cola, a drink so tough that it can survive the nuclear apocalypse. It’s unlikely that you’re thinking of Carlsberg Fallout Beer, because it’s only just popped into existence.

Yes, the brewers of mediocre lager have inexplicably joined forces with Bethesda to produce bottles of 4% pilsner.

What’s the connection to Fallout, you ask? Erm… it’s got ‘Fallout Beer’ on the label? I think that’s about it. There doesn’t appear to be any other connection to the series or Fallout 4 specifically. The taste doesn’t scream ‘apocalypse’ either, which is probably for the best. Carlsberg say that it has a hoppy taste and a flora aroma.

“This is something of a world-first,” Carlsberg UK Corporate Affairs Director Bruce Ray said. “Adult participation in videogaming is a truly social activity, on a par with cinema and music. We’re proud to work with Bethesda to produce a beer Fallout fans can enjoy.”

I’d hazard that Fallout fans have, for years, been able to enjoy beers without videogame tie-ins, but in case this is what you’ve been waiting for all your life, you might want to take a gander at the price.

That’s £30 for 12 lagers. Those labels are pretty damn expensive, it seems.

Fallout Beer is only available in the UK.
