The first of Fallout 4’s DLC releases is available today. Automatron, which can be bought separately or as part of the Season Pass, adds plenty of new robot adversaries to the game, as well as the ability to build a killing machine for yourself.
If you’re into building things in the wasteland, take a look at the best Fallout 4 settlements for a little inspiration.
Automatron sees the mysterious Mechanist unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Killing them will allow you to harvest their components and build a droid to help you out in the wastelands.
The droid build system is complex, allowing you to customise your creation with a huge variety of components, paint schemes, voices, and weapons. You’ll be able to equip your killing machine with the brand new lightning chain-gun, which sounds like something we all need in our lives.
The DLC is primarily focused on building robots, but you’ll find the storyline takes you to new areas too, so prepare to do a little more exploring. You’ll want to search high and low: on offer is the new Tesla armour, which no wasteland wanderer is going to want to go without.
The Fallout 4 Season Pass can be bought for $49.99/£39.99, and contains Automatron as well as all future DLC packs. Automatron can be bought on its own for $9.99/£7.99.
