Fallout 4's high-resolution texture pack can really polish the game to a shine, but only if you have a lot of HD space.

Fallout 4 high res texture pack

Bethesda have released an official high-res texture pack for Fallout 4, but you’ll need a beefy PC and lots of HDD space to run it.

War. War never changes, but there’s a fair bit of variety in our list of the best war games

The texture pack is a free download for the post-apocalyptic RPG.

“Consider this free download a love letter to our amazing PC fans that have supported us – not just with Fallout 4, but across multiple decades and games,” said Bethesda in an update.

To download it, you’ll need a massive 58GB of free space, and Bethesda also recommend your PC has the following specs at least:

  • Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
  • Intel Core i7-5820K or better
  • GTX 1080 8GB
  • 8GB Ram

You could try it with something that’s approaching those specs. If it doesn’t work, you’ll be able to revert back in the game’s launcher menu.
